St Marys Church in Barton Mills dates back to the late 12th century, although there has probably been a church here since Saxon times. The church serves the local community with regular worship, and baptisms, weddings and funerals. The building occasionally hosts functions such as concerts, talks, horticultural shows, exhibitions, Christmas fairs, meals, harvest suppers and dances.

Services are held at 9.30am on each Sunday of the month:
First and third Sundays: Holy Communion
Second Sunday: Messy Church - an informal service with crafts and storytelling for the young and young at heart
Fourth Sunday: Morning Praise
Fifth Sunday: as advertised
Visitors are very welcome to come to any of these services.

Coffee mornings are held in the church room every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. All are welcome and these mornings are well attended, friendly occasions.

Barton Mills parish church is in the Anglican Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.
